01 / The Plan
Two floors, one steep roof.

The ground floor holds one bedroom with its own bath, tucked behind the entry, plus the laundry and mechanical room. The rest of the floor is one open room: living, dining and kitchen run the full width of the house and open onto a patio. A two-car carport sits alongside, under the same roof.
Upstairs, the master suite takes the back corner, with its own bath and a covered balcony over the entry. Two more bedrooms share a bath at the front, split by a double vanity so two people can get ready at once.
The roof carries well past the wall on slender posts, covering the carport below and the balcony above on the same line. At two stories the house tops out at twenty-seven and a half feet, still simple wood framing throughout. Putting three of the bedrooms upstairs keeps the footprint small, so four bedrooms and a two-car carport fit on a modest lot.
